Life as We Know It: Palm Desert

Our last minute trip to Palm Desert began on May 28th. This was our first visit to Palm Desert together. After celebrating Tessa Birthday in Arizona we decided to pack a weekend bag and head down South to get away for a bit. We loaded the car up and all 3 of us headed out around 9 :00pm (The 3rd is Harley the pup if you were pondering.) The drive was effortless with only one stop near the city of Blyth. A quick fill up on gas and a walk for the pup. We arrived a little after midnight unpacked and passed out not long after.

On our next day we explored the city and what it had to offer. Palm desert is filled with great Restaurants, Resorts, Art Galleries and plenty of Golf. It has a contemporary food scene, and a modern art community. It's the type of place that people go to to escape in a good way. Its peaceful and the weather is always rewarding.

Several days into our trip we tried a few restaurants and played a few holes of golf. Armando’s centered on El Paseo was one of our favorite spots. Its filled with authentic Mexican food and shakes up a delightful Margarita. We also stumbled upon a place called Vicky’s. The space was filled with Art and also had live music. We enjoyed some classics over music from Sinatra. We also clearly had to check out a local classic HoodBar.

Our days were filled with rounds of golf and also some mini golf. Rides in the golf cart to get morning coffee, nights out at the local favorite spots and some just some good R&R. Our time in Palm desert was incredible. Any one who wants a great escape make your way down the 10 freeway and indulge in all the fun. Maybe we will see you there. We’ll be back.

Golf carts may be little cars but still have power.
